Fear often disguises itself as wisdom, but faith sees the potential and believes God for the impossible.
Twelve spies went into the land of Canaan. Ten came back with a negative report, full of unbelief. They based their assessment of the situation, not on faith, but on fear. Two returned full of faith, ready to act on their belief that the Lord was on their side, just as He had said. Unfortunately, the popular vote won out that day. Eventually, the two messengers of hope lead the people into the Promised Land, but not before a very costly and very long delay in fulfillment. Hesitating in matters of faith can bring about tragic outcomes. However, acting on the word of the Lord carries the promise of success, not just in spite of, but in the light of insurmountable odds.
