Sabbatical Journey: Entry Number 2

At times
Life is a series of tug-of-war events
That end in letting go

I let go of my need to control my life and others
I let go of my good intentions and ideas
And surrender to a higher way

I let go of expectations of my self,
And the people around me
I let go of faulty expectations of God

I let go of my aspirations and dreams
I let go of all that is precious to me
Only to receive it all back

More fully, more complete, more perfect
